Osaka Castle is a famous landmark, a popular sightseeing spot, and the symbol of Osaka. The steep walls that rise close to 30 meters high are made of huge blocks of stone that were transported to Osaka from quarries over 100 kilometers away.
The sheer height of the walls and the wide moats make for a grand sight that can be matched by no other castle in Japan. The castle is a very important historic site in Japan.
Then go to the Floating Garden in the Umeda Sky Building. This 173 meter tall building consists of two towers that are connected with each other by the "Floating Garden Observatory" on the 39th floor. The observatory offers great views of the city through its windows and from its open-air deck.
