Kyoto has a long history of 1,200 years. It has many attractions not only for foreign tourists but for Japanese. Especially, following four places are musts to see;
1 Kiyomizu-dera temple; It's very famous for a large veranda built over the cliff, where you can see a panoramic view of Kyoto: World Heritage site.
2 Sannen-zaka/Ninenzaka streets. They are popular streets lined with old wooden restaurants, shops boasting of pottery, artworks and other traditional goods, and coffee shops.
3 Ishibe-koji (street with the stone fence).
4 Gion district; This is the Japanese old-style entertainment area lined with traditional town houses and restaurants, you may come across geisha/geiko here.
