We visited Japan for the first time in August 2019 and flew to Tokyo from Vancouver before boarding a cruise ship. We spent two nights in Tokyo and had a day in between to visit Tokyo. My wife and I enjoy walking and looked for a private walking tour. During our internet search we came across a private walking tour offered by Nippon Plus. The day walking tour was reasonably priced, so we booked the tour. The tour guide, Hideaki Murayama (Mura) e-mailed us and introduced himself soon after I booked the tour. He asked what we were interested in, to which we responded. He sent us places of interest to visit with the relevant YouTube links. My wife and I reviewed all the YouTube videos and let him know which visits we would like to see. He then sent us an itinerary for the day, starting at 9am till 5pm. A week before we departed to Tokyo, Mura was in touch to confirm our arrangements for the day. Mura met us at 9am at the hotel, and we proceeded with the day journey. We walked, experienced the Tokyo under ground trains to get from one site to the next, visited and experienced the sites we wanted to see and then he returned us to our hotel before 5pm. Mura was very responsive to his e-mails, knowledgeable and made good recommendations. He is punctual, pleasant and had a good command of the English language. We enjoyed listening to the history and stories relevant to the sites. We would not have experienced Tokyo to such an extent in a day if it was not for Mura. This was a very pleasant experience and the best investment we made visiting Tokyo. We can highly recommend using Mura for the one day guided tours of Tokyo.

My husband and I would absolutely recommend Mura-San as your guide! He is on- time, kind and pretty knowledgable. Through him we got insights into Japan as tourists and as a local. He ensured we had a chance to visit all places at a decent pace. We are very grateful that he helped us with our food restrictions. Thanks to his proactiveness we were able to visit the palace and learn traveling confidently using public transport! We would like to thank him for his kind , calm and hospitable demeanor and recommend him as a guide!!
