Course(Visiting Spots)

From Shinjuku station Keio railway leads to Mt.Takao which is 599m high mountain, this area is one of the most popular spot for people live in Tokyo.
First we will take a cable car to the middle of mountain, this cable car railway is the steepest one in Japan. Then walking trail through the forest leads to Yakuo-in, which is a symbolic temple of the syncretism of Buddhism and Shintoism. Tengu spirits will welcome you. And unique principal image is enshrined there. Though the principal image is not open to public, you can see the stone replica of that instead.

Again walking through the forest, you will arrive at the top of Mt.Takao,599m high. From the top, if you are lucky, you can see Mt Fuji. Mt.Takao is located in the middle of Tokyo and Mt.Fuji. People worshipped Mt.Fuji from here and Mt.Takao itself.

you can also enjoy some of wild flowers in season, especially this mountain is famous for many kinds of violet, so-called mountain of violets.　
Then we will go back through the same trail to the railway station, on the way to the station there are some soba noodle restaurant. Soba noodle with yam is local specialty of in this area, it is also one of funs here to taste it.
Probably you are a bit hard to believe this is also a part of Tokyo, during the tour.

Others	This tour is including a biggner's level of mountain hiking. Elevation will about 200m to the top after taking the cable car to the middle of mountain. Guide will pick you up at the hotel you stay at 8:30 or 9:00 am depending on the location, and end the tour at the railway station,Keio Takaosan-guchi at around 3:00 pm it might be changed depending on situation. Also we can meet at the station in the morning upon your request. It is suggested that you bring something to eat for lunch. We will take time for lunch at the top of mountain., if you will not have lunch at the temple (see option). This tour might be cancelled due to the bad weather, like typhoon, heavy rain or snow. 【Important】 1)Infants might be hard to complete this tour. 2)This tour will be held in weekday only, because Mt.Takao is so busy on weekend. 【Option】 You can enjoy soba noodle lunch at the temple, this is the traditional style lunch for Buddhist monks. You have to inform that to the guide at booking. Weekdays only and fee (1800)is not included. Some possibility they are sold out due to the limited amount of dishes (about 50 dishes a day).
