【Outline of Harajuku】

Near the sacred calm Meiji Jingu Shrine, Omotesando which means the front path to a shrine, and Harajuku area are there, where stylish and cutting-edge items are readily available.

Harajuku is always crowded mostly with young ages, especially with senior high school girls. Takeshita Dori (Takeshita Street) is the main attractions in the area. This tiny street is lined with clothing shops, crepe stores, accessory stores, “Pri-kura” (Photo booth that prints out cards and stickers of the resulting photograph which are then traded among friends) and what-not. It would be a paradise for girl teens and preteens.

Just a short walk away is the more sophisticated area of Omotesando. Artistic fashion buildings and galleries line up along the zelkova tree-lined street, where you can enjoy shopping, gourmet food and art.

Nippon PLUS offers some selections to visit Harajuku, Omotesanto and Meiji Shrine and nearby places. You can request an original tour there too.
