On this tour, you will experience some of the most exciting things that my home town of Tokyo has to offer.
First, I will escort you to a sumo ""stable"" to observe one of the wrestlers' powerful morning training sessions. It's always an exciting behind-the-scenes look at the life and skills of these traditional Japanese atheletes.
Next, we will visit Sensoji Temple, one of the oldest temples in Tokyo. It’s an ideal place for taking photographs and buying traditional souvenirs at the stalls lining the “Nakamise” street that leads up to the main entrance. For lunch, you will be able to choose your favorite spot from the many restaurants in the Asakusa area.
After lunch, we will take a waterbus from Asakusa to Hama Rikyu Garden, enjoying some great harbor views of Tokyo along the way. An oasis of calm in the midst of the busy city, Hama Rikyu is a lovely Japanese garden where we will be able to stroll through the grounds and experience the serenity of ancient Japan.
Finally, we will visit the Tsukiji Outer Fish Market, a famous shopping district featuring some 330 fish stores, grocers and restaurants.
