Mt. Takao(Tokyo) received from the Michelin Green Guide which means the “Must Go” mountain. At Mt. Takao, you can enjoy the beauty of nature and experience the traditional culture and food of Japan.
Starting from Keio Line Takaosanguchi Station, we will soon arrive at the cable car station. We will climb halfway up by cable car. We will then walk up to the summit of Mt. Takao on the Trail Route No.1.
On our way there, we will visit Mt. Takao Yakuouin Temple and see the four Devas, or four heavenly kings, Tengu, or supernatural beings who is said to have supernatural power, as well as other small temples and shrines.
We will also see many trees of Warm Temperate Zone and North Temperate Zone since Mt. Takao is on the boundary of two zones.
After having lunch, we will come back to Keio Line Takaosanguchi Station by using Mountain Chair-lift. There is a hot spring next to Takaosanguchi Station, so if you would like to bathe, it is very convenient.
